funny enough, I think the same people who were vocal no voters for the contract are the same vocal no voters for this LOA. I voted yes for the contract and given all that has happened— I’m still glad I voted yes.

I predict a the LOA is a 60/40ish pass, like the contract.
So what are we getting? 2% for a decades worth of relief? Expalin.
Btw, vite NO.

that’s a good question. Appreciate you being reasonable.

2 reasons I’m not concerned-

1) we can do it cheaper than AA

2) we are still required to compete.

the only thing I’ve seen RE: intl competition is the 65% number for the Caribbean. If you really have concerns, I think it’s worth a PDR and have the NC call you directly. He can show you the piece of the TA to review. I did this and it changed my view.

This latest email: all of that will happen regardless of our vote? Sounds great. But why do we need to vote yes for this additional give? I just don’t see what’s in it for us. Can someone explain?

Short answer- the company screwed up and forgot to ask for relief of 2 additional sections they need for this codeshare.

You're a sucker. What did the union say is in it for us? 9 months of furlough protect for 10 years of pain?

and we get what out of it? Send it back. Tighten up the language, get profit sharing, shorten the length, a 2% (should be 3) raise every year till our new contract.

This is where I'm at. Why give so much for so little. Tighten, shorten, limit, reward/share...

People are nuts if they think the company will just let the deal fail if the TA gets voted down. There WILL be more negotiations.

Thanks. Not a sucker. Is everyone on the union a sucker? Is the NC a sucker? The scope guy a sucker? I sense COVID related butthurt.

Look, I'm Just someone you share the cockpit with. I'm trying to do the best for my family much like you are. I think this is a good deal. If you don't, thats ok. Just don't call me a sucker.

I think you are missing part of the LOA. Take a look at LOA 13 B.2. Specifically LOA 13 B.2.D

In summary, it is a "no furlough" clause by a different name. Take a look. Tell me what you think.

While I'm voting differently, I understand that position.
