The US justice system is punitive not rehabilitative.
Lifelong bans or exclusions apply to a lot of different things, even sports.
Actions have consequences and some of those are lifelong.
In the ‘free’ State of Florida a DUI stays on your record for 75 years, that’s lifelong for most.
Regardless of it being a country road with no traffic or you were speeding through Disney.
Accept it and move on.

FWIW, the TSA mandated RAP back program for airline workers will fix some of this.
More interesting (and we’ll never know) will be how many current airline employees at all airlines will be revealed and quietly let go.

Sorry no. It’s not only not right but illegal to discriminate against people with disabilities but you don’t see blind people being allowed to fly.

That's not going to provide a deeper or better background check. Basically it just does a daily search update to find any recent criminal events. Previously you could get hired today, get charged or convicted of a serious crime tomorrow, and then they wouldn't find out about it until you renewed your SIDA in two years.

Try that for jobs that require high level of security. A murderer serves a sentence, then applies to the Secret Service to get on the Presidential detail. Yea, but he served his time. You should not discriminate against him. See how far that logic will go. I will not hold my breath.

If he’s paid his debt to society he should be allowed to go back to the USAF and fly nuke bombers again.
He’s already shown he’s willing to sacrifice his life in order to hurt or kill the people he dislikes. Make him Sqadron Commander.

Seriously? You believe because someone attempted some heinous act, got caught, and lived off the taxpayers dime for ten years they are somehow the moral equivalent to everyone who has never beaten and attempted to kill some innocent? You must live in an alternate reality, wingedbeast.
