Everyone please stop the TWA 2.0 death 💀 and demise drama. The BoD did a very good job protecting the company, Ichan is not on the Board, and the two Ichan Enterprises members that are on the board look like they are present only to protect their LIMITED investment.
Limited being the key word, Ichan can never own a controlling stake (no more than 15%) and there are other TWA 2.0 protections written into the Ichan Board member agreement.
Please, move on, how about we focus on running an on-time operation and our new contract to attract quality talent. Yes, the airline history cycle will change again, and if you can stop for a moment and look at the actual financial facts, B6 will be fine in the long run. It might actually have a bright future if the new leadership can actually execute a strategy unencumbered by Government intervention. Hopefully more to follow after the appeal outcome.
B6 pilots get a quality snap-up in August, focus on the next contract and being on-time😀

But that hasn’t happened yet and may not. If the board doesn’t trust him now, why would they trust him as he tries to get around the restrictions they set in order to avoid such a thing?

With that said, I'm encouraged about the current restrictions, and there are some scenarios where this could force JB to stop the shenanigans and run a quality airline. But most possibilities good and bad are still on the table, although I consider a full TWA 2.0 to be unlikely.
Let's hope for the best, but not spike the ball just yet.

Unless LAX is making secret fistfuls of cash, I don't know why it's even a "hub." I would feel bad for the west coast dudes, of course, but I feel like those airplanes could be better utilized elsewhere, rather than playing... 5th (?) fiddle in a pseudo-hub 3500 miles from the rest of the operation.

this, and this talk is ridiculous. LAX is a strategic IMPERATIVE to the success of the company.
