Bro we realize you’ve proclaimed yourself an expert on all things United 😂 but have you ever stopped to
consider that you might not know everything?? Give it a rest dude.

Definitely not. You definitely wont be able to buy a UA flight on the JB app. Nope.

Why’s it have a name and serious marketing effort behind it, nevermind a pitch to the DOJ, if it’s the same thing UAL has with everyone else?

They literally said you would be able to do this. Its almost the entire partnership. That's not "IT integration". That's just API calls. Just like you can buy airline tickets on Priceline, Travelocity or Expedia (and others)

This partnership is more like your neighbor and you agreeing to drive each others kids to schools on alternating days.

Tech wise its not much different than any other interline travel. Its just API calls to reserve seats and provide payment to the airline.

They made a big deal about it because they are trying to raise awareness with the flying public.

They obviously discussed this with the DOJ. Using my kids carpooling analogy its like letting the school know you will be picking up and dropping off your neighbors kids on alternating days, because some schools have rules about being allowed to pick up kids that aren't yours.

I was being sarcastic. I don't know what API is. Im just arguing there must be some sort of basic level IT integration to allow systems to talk to each other. In full transparency, I know jack about this crap

its a bias. He/She does not want a merger so they will go with anything that supports that. You could say the same about us but most of us simply say it’s a possibility not a sure thing. (Everything is possible)

United is using exclusively our paisly travel program. It’s a bit more vs some hey take my kids to school idea.

According to the union email, it’s a lot more complex than some generic interline agreement.
