Pilot hiring update
We’d like to update you on a recent change to our Pilot hiring outlook for the remainder of the year. More than 140 Pilots have been hired to date in 2017, and now, due to lower than anticipated attrition and a slight reduction in system block hours for the year, we aim to hire approximately 100 more Pilots through December. This brings our total to roughly 250 Pilot new hires for 2017.

This is what theyre selling in MCO as well. So proud of the low attrition #s.

They are even more proud to offer daily RSA's and VDA's during the peak season to not have to hire or upgrade more folks.

It's only lower than expected because most are waiting to see what this TA looks like. If it's disappointing or doesn't come out for by 2018, attrition will skyrocket and they won't recover.

Not in the e-mail? Our low application numbers. The attrition will come and then this place is screwed.

Or... the company did a good job weeding out the flight risks over the last two years and these guys can't leave or are willing to settle to live in base

I'm amazed with the constant RSAs and the abysmal on time performance that they can feel good about our staffing. This coupled with the "It's not fumes, it's safe odors" emails amaze me. WTF is going on here?
