jetBlue Hiring
Right! shame JBU doesn’t focus more training on the time honored skills of Pilotage & Dead Reckoning, a terrible disservice to our fine aviators indeed. Prospective applicants be forewarned.

We had ~200ish in the pool. Not sure how many of those will actually come here. 100? 150? 175? No idea. I know some found other jobs. Then you have the fact that the new interviewers will have to get trained, a new app window has to be opened, video interviews have to be done, and f2f interviews will begin. So…I put interviews at the end of June as the earliest possibility, more likely July or august. And our process takes forever, so let’s say they interview in July or August, the earliest I could see them at JBU is October or November. So, I just think logistically we couldn’t really get 300+ this year even if we tried. But once the systems are in place and moving again, and our pool gets refilled as this one gets depleted, we can probably start hiring a decent amount more next year, assuming the need exists, the order book and block hours support it, etc. Finance ultimately is the one who greenlights staffing numbers from what I understand. With the intern at the helm of that department, who knows what they will do.
I don’t doubt 600 by end of 22. 200 this year and 400 next. 8-12 months? Guess we will see. That’s gonna be very damn difficult though seeing that pre-covid they were gonna try to do 600 a year. Starting from where we are at now and ramping to do that in 8 months? I’d love to be wrong but I don’t see it.

Totally agree with you. But I'm just passing along what Chris is telling the new guys in reference to the previous post about hiring being scaled back to 200. If it has been scaled back, I would think Chris would know about it and wouldn't be telling new hires the 600 over 8-12 month number.
