I'm sure having two separate pay scales and the division it would produce amongst the pilot ranks (ie 3rd attempt at a CBA) has factored into their calculus. Couple that with a new PEA with A320 "family" language or not...who would sign it, and who wouldn't, and we're ripe for another failed union drive. I personally wouldn't count on any form of true-up or single pay scale; it just doesn't work to the company's benefit.

I have a hard time believing that there will be two pay scales. If you sign a pea change than that is the pay you get. If you choose not to sign pea changes as the 3A group hasn't done since 2007 then you don't get the changes to your PEA. The company got in trouble with 3A because they gave 190 FO'S a pay pay adjustment without giving it to the rest of the pilot group this same % raises. If they offer you a raise and you turn it down by not signing your PEA's the company is not liable to pay you. It's when the give a group a raise and don't offer it to everyone else that the PEA kicks in. Lets wait and see the results of the arbitrator damages meeting on July 25th before we all just speculate on the results.

Actually the 3a ers have been signing the new pea's as they have come out. So no raises have been turned down and its june 25th. This award is on top of the raises going back to 2007. And going forward. Its going to be the base pay rate for only the 3a ers. This damages meeting your talking about is not if they get what its how they are going to calculate how much each 3a er is getting based on 401k pto premium credit permonth etc etc. Also the New York penalties and interest. The raises have already been awarded. Its the implementation that will be worked on. Again why would the company voluntarily award another 300 millon to everyone else.

Why would that create another fight? I'm sure the 3A ers won't talk about it. I can only imagine the non 3a ers would be jealous but why is it the 3a ers fault? They fought and won why is that a bad thing. If anything it will bring a union on the property faster

Just going off prior experience at my previous airline (which was union) which also had people flying the same equipment for different rates. Not sure what this has to do with getting a union faster, either.

Well if this ****es the non 3a ers off enough because from what I'm hearing they think they deserve to e made whole and when the company says "get bent it's the 3a ers fault that you won't be getting a raise" I think that might be the final push over the top. Not saying it will but it might

Awesome. Now instead of just "are you pro/anti-CBA" fights in the flight deck, we're gonna have A scale/B scale pay fights. Unity, it's wonderful.....
