One of my internal recs said that he asked a recruiter about hiring minimums last month and the response was '1501 hours is good to go'. I'm a little in the dark as to what happened. Did the minimums change? Was it a single recruiters decision? Was it something else on my app that I don't know about? I really have no idea. It's puzzling. I'm not in a position to question and I'm not owed anything by JB so I just have to roll with it.

Like pilotpayne said, I will hang in there and keep moving forward. I hope to see you there someday.

Hey, I am sorry to hear that. It certainly sucks. May I ask you though, How is it possible to talk to more than one recruiter at WAI conference? I was there too. They must have seen that you have talked to more than one. I wonder what they thought about that. This is just a speculation but they might have thought you wanted to take an advantage of talking to more than one recruiter. One of their core values is integrity. Hey, but absolutely no offense to you. I am at your shoes, I have your flight times and was told at WAI that competitive min were around 5000ish. My 2 cents. Again sorry to hear that. It is weird that they would cancel an interview bc of 300 hrs TT. Good luck, JB is also my choice.

The values are dead. They never really were real.

Hey WW... no offense taken. Love your name!

I already had an interview set up when I spoke to the folks in Orlando. I just wanted to meet them, say hello, and develop a relationship. I stood in line for fast pass because they are the only place I want to go. Once there, I found the JB recruiters to be very accommodating and available. I just spoke to a couple/few different ones so I could see who jetBlue is.

Someone told you 5000 hours. Someone told me 3500+ hours. I dunno. It's baffling. 300 hours is not going to make or break a pilot... we all know that.

A friend of mine at JB said he knows of a 10,000 hour pilot who can't get called because of his currency (less than 250 in 12 months).

I don't know what the matrix is. Things change. I'll roll with it. I'll still keep my blue shirt ready to go and hope for the best. And hope to see you there.

Maybe they were puzzled as to why you were at career fair when you already had an interview set up with them. Maybe they thought you were not as interested because you were seeing other airlines. They want people who are going to stay.

ALPO represents an absolute conflict of interest!at the regionals and majors with regionals, which we will become if we don't get a CBA and make scope protection a number 1 priority. Bottom line, lots to be learned from the mistakes of past pilot groups, and anything with JetBlue on it should be flown by JetBlue pilots

ALPO performs anti-employee tactics on their own employess (see unit 1 judgement) this is one of your reasons to not vote for the protections of a CBA?

ALPO gets to touch your 401k before you do?! part of the dues, and the protections over the course of the career would be worth it
Is ALPA a cure all? Nope. Is it better than what we have now. Absolutely!!

Fair enough idea. When I put my money down for the job fair I had not yet secured an interview with jetBlue. Once I found out about the interview I could have asked for my money back. But, I didn't. Two reasons: 1) I support Women in Aviation. 2) What if I fail at my B6 interview? Everyone needs a backup plan. It doesn't mean jetBlue isn't my desire. Anyone, even a JB recruiter, would say it's foolish to put all your eggs in one basket.

After attending the conference I can clearly say that jetBlue is where I want to go. By far, they had the best presence. That was a learning experience for me. I thought somewhere else might be more attractive, but I was wrong. For me. I want to go to jetBlue.

That all sounds great but do they know that? Did you specify why you were there? Did you say you only want them as your at a career fair? I'm not saying what you did is wrong, I'm just saying I wouldn't have stopped at their booth letting them know you were there when you already had an interview. But that's just me, your interview could have been cancelled for many reasons.

I think you should give him break. Yes we all have our desires but sometimes things don't work out. Can you blame him for wanting a back up plan? That to me shows responsibility. I would think they are adult enough to understand that you can't put all your eggs in one basket. Just saying.

On a different note, what's the latest on expected classes for JetBlue?

I have no idea what they think. Integrity... core value.. right? I'm not hiding anything. I am a valuable product and I hope we both want each other. It's not just a game of going to someone who will take me. I don't want to work for someone who does not value me. I don't think it's unreasonable for someone to be at a job fair that is looking for a better job than they currently have. I want to work for jetBlue. What if they don't want me? Where am I then?
