Are you elegible to apply to the Gateway program? If not you’re better off going to get jet time somewhere. To my knowledge (which is dated) no one has been hired from Cape Air at jetBlue that wasn’t part of the gateway program.

^^This is about what I was thinking too.

To Dksr: If you had a successful first career, that would weigh in your favor....I'd say more so at JB than other carriers. Going to see a recruiter at a job fair and pitching that might be worthwhile.

Do they extend interview invites while the window is still open or only once the window closes?

How worthwhile is it to have a personal vehicle during training in Orlando?

Someone else in your class will likely have one, but I think it is very important to get off the compound in order to maintain sanity during the ~6weeks you’re there. If I was within about a 6-8hr drive of MCO I would bring mine.

Are there weekends off, and/or other times off during training to fly home? Or should one expect to be there a full six weeks?
