Chances of A320 JFK are very good, very slight chnace of FLL A320, depending how quickly those remaining spots filled. Zero chance for BOS A320

So I assume then it won’t take long to hold FLL 320 for a new hire? What about the 190? Thanks.

Don’t ask that second question on the actual interview

No 190 FLL

0-18 months for FLL. A guy hired a year ago will get there June 1st. But a guy hired today could get it out of training. It just fluctuates. Lately it’s had a ton of movement and growth. But that could stop for the next year. And the system bids are now once a year in August projecting for the next calendar year, with effective dates throughout the year. So you could get hired in July, bid for FLL in the August bid, and get awarded it in December of next year.

190 in BOS has a lot of vacancies for newhires. JFK 190 has some as well.

Wow, only once a year system bid? You must have your life pretty planned out for that. At my current airline we have one usually every 2 months.

Before our first contract that’s how we generally did system bids, I.e. once a quarter however with the new agreement we’re transitioning to the aforementioned system.

It’s been quarterly plus supplementals as needed. One more of those in June, then the new annual bids begin in August. They can still do supplementals as needed. Guess we will see how it goes. Guessing it will be as smooth as the operation.

Does one have the ability to withdraw? Say I have NYC, BOS, FLL as my ordered preference choices.

Hypothetically I get awarded BOS, and then decide I want to stay in BOS and buy a house. I no longer want NYC.

Then, three months later I get awarded NYC because it is first in my preference order.

Is this possible? I assume not. There must be a way to withdraw or re order your bid preference.

You can change your standing bid at any time. But once awarded it via a system or supplemental bid, the award is final. “If you are awarded a transfer, it is final, not optional.” You can always participate in a base trade though (monthly) and hope to get to your base of choice that way, or you will have to wait until the next bid. In your scenario, once you decide you want to stay in BOS, you just take the other preferences out before the next bid.
