Likely the opposite. You’re too old (sorry) to make a lateral move and may or may not ever upgrade. They get a quality known asset with a strong background and would more than see their return on investment.

Cursory glance at the list shows 5-7 with less than 10 years till retirement near the bottom of the list.

No true Jet Time.
First class medical (no restrictions)
No internal airline recommendations

Currently working in retirement for a 135 outfit (Hold PIC type) and thinking about a change. So what do you think am I too old for the Majors (JetBlue) to hire.

Reality is Reality

Thanks for your time.

Not even close to too old- Your experience, age would probably work in your favor- With our non-competitive contract, theyll soon be recruiting H.S students to fill seats and unlike many new FOs, you wouldnt plan on leaving right after training. We lose so many new hires to other airlines once they're typed.
Def throw in an app and I suspect you'd get a call quickly.
Good luck.

Anyone know if they’re still sending out invites to do the phone interview or if they’ve pretty much selected everyone they need for this round of hiring?

This is so true. Back in 2015-2016 it seems like 90% of the attrition wasn’t old timers retiring, it was guys in their first year ditching for other airlines.

Default F2F

Hey Everyone! Just had the F2F interview last week which was a great experience. Some folks in my group and others that I know of already received the Phase 2 email. I am still waiting. Is it safe to say that I may be getting a TBNT email or there is still a chance?
I hear this a lot. Any proof of this?
what proof is it you need?

100% there are people on the hiring team that are on this board.

generally, they don’t need to read the boards to figure out you’re a douchebag or not. It’s probably pretty apparent.

Quick Question, I heard one of the keys to getting a shot at it, is updating the app frequently. Does going into your profile, updating the section, and saving your app count as updating it? Just want all the bases covered. Thanks

Has anyone recently received a face to face invite after doing the checkride addendum? How long did it take?
