jetBlue Hiring
New hires stay at the lodge. In my opinion it’s way more convenient than when you come back for transition or upgrade which is at a nearby hotel. The lodge is well taken care of and the food is decent and cheap. Nice gym, nice pool, basketball court, walking trail, easy walk to class/sims. I prefer it to the local hotels which are understaffed.

The Lodge is awesome! The staff does an amazing job cleaning , rooms are very nice, large showers. Food is pretty good as well. Way better than a hotel and much more convenient!

Thank god. I think Covid finally killed that asinine practice. It hasn’t come back yet. If it’s like our sudden 200% incentive, looks like the single occupancy is here to stay.
related question. Do new hires also stay at that JetBlue hotel? Or nearby? I got to tour the facilities years back and it looked really cool.

They are broken up, sometimes 4 days on 1-2 off, sometimes more breaks, sometimes less.

Everything BeatNavy said is correct. However, Indoc is really self-taught. You’ll be in “class” Thurs, Fri, Mon, and Tues but they’re ancillary classes like security awareness and emergency equipment. The true FOM-related Indoc stuff will be learned in your room on your iPad. There’s a 90 question quiz you have to complete before Tuesday. JetBlue gives you EVERYTHING along the way. Training is very straightforward.

Indoc is basically Wed/Thurs/Mon/Tues, with 4 days allocated for systems CBTs in there, which end on that Friday. So Indoc is like 1.5 weeks, but really only 4 days of classes. Systems CBTs are 4 days, then 4 days of systems FTDs, then 6 procedures lessons in the FTDs, then 5 maneuvers sims followed by the MV (maneuvers checkride), an international ground school day and international sim, 3 line oriented sims, and then a line oriented evaluation (actual checkride). So that’s 10 FTDs and 11 sims, I think.

CASS and KCM should be available by the end of Indoc. It’s possible to non-rev home for the weekend but the vast majority just spend the weekend at the lodge studying and hanging out. Most classes have the option of bidding for 1-3 week breaks after Indoc before starting systems. You’ll be positive spaced home for that (likely MCO-JFK-LAX)

Its less than daily, but we do run them. Though there are at least 7 daily on OALs and to the prev poster you are in CASS within the first few days, but unless you have a long scheduled break I wouldn’t be going home each weekend.
