You don’t get paid until you check in. That becomes the time you are pay protected on it. As someone else said, if you don’t want the assignment, either don’t answer or just say you’ll be there in 10 hours. You can’t technically say ‘nah I can’t do it’….if you answer. Sometimes they’ll cold call you though In which case they’re basically begging you to take something.

And don’t worry about VDAs until you are top 25%.
In three years I’ve had two VDA calls.
It’s a pretty junk system, especially at such a junior airline.

Yea I agree the system sucks, but these guys will move up quick on the 190 with plenty of VDA opportunity.

Thank god. I think Covid finally killed that asinine practice. It hasn’t come back yet. If it’s like our sudden 200% incentive, looks like the single occupancy is here to stay.

related question. Do new hires also stay at that JetBlue hotel? Or nearby? I got to tour the facilities years back and it looked really cool.
