Should I leave F9 to come to JB?
Hey fellas, didn't want to start a new thread, but I'm almost done with IOE at F9 and live 3.5 to 4 hr drive from base. Unfortunately I got the TBNT from JB after the F2F in Jan while still an RJ guy, but am eligible to try again in July.
I already have 100+ under me and I haven't even finished IOE.
I'm VERY happy to be at F9 out of regional land, but I live almost exactly half way between JFK and BOS, which is by farrrrr my biggest reason for wanting to come.
My biggest goal is sitting SCR from home (which I could do being 1h 45m drive to BOS). I'm hoping to get and stay senior in the right seat on the 190 and focus on QOL and seniority over pay, and burying myself deep in the silo.
OTOH, how can I do in terms of gobbling up premium flying on the 190 in BOS as an FO? I'd like to be able to hustle some months, and then kick back on SCR from home others.
The only trepidations I have about leaving are stagnation, JB's uncertain future if NK and F9 merge, as well as less schedule flex than F9 (we can drop to 60 or 70 hrs regardless of coverage if 4+ days out and there are 4 or fewer OT trips those days...is JB as lax about that)?
If there was stagnation, would I still be able to find my spot with good relative seniority in the right seat 190 (and eventually 220) out of BOS? If not, JFK (Slightly farther drive)?
My heart and soul has always been in the Northeast. If I lived in Fla I wouldn't even be on here asking. I'd just stay at F9.
Lastly, and most importantly, will now having the 320 type help me a lot on the 2nd try? Obviously its not a choice until and unless I get a CJO.

Stagnation will probably be a wash between JetBlue and Frontier as long as there’s an elevated level of attrition at both carriers. I’d say make the move over the JetBlue as long as it doesn’t take several years to get an interview and get hired. Not sure what your commute situation is at Frontier, but obviously driving to work over commuting is king.
