Guys are walking out in the middle of training to places that do require a degree. Why would they pass on a guy without a degree that has less odds of going elsewhere?

If you are qualified and go through the hiring process successfully, I highly doubt they will pass on you for no degree in this hiring market.

I put in an application a couple weeks ago and was wondering if I emailed JetBlue pilot recruitment if that would backfire?
I did that with another airline and they responded back pretty fast for a meet-n-greet. It would be a relatively simple email explaining who I am, my resume, my military flying history, etc...
