Show me a 10 year AA pilot who makes less than a 10 year B6 pilot. Seniority movement matters. Also.... fleets. Also crew meals. Also... their entire contract. Please include cost of living in the average AA domicile vs B6 in your calculation.

Going off the APC profiles, it looks like the payrate is almost exactly the same. I don’t know their contract except that they tend to get reassigned a lot, but I’m sure the opportunity to make money is as good at AA as it is at B6. Their fleet is overwhelmingly Airbus series/ 737. I doubt a 10 year AA captain can hold widebody, but maybe they can. They beat everyone on seniority movement obviously.

Work rules are the key, pay protections, aggressive open time / VDA, premium time. That is why I have less seniority and beat every AA pilot I know when it comes to the end of the year take home. While we don't have the movement that they do, we have better work rules for earnings/pay protections. Pencil out all the hourly rates you want, work rules matter most and aren't represented in any of the APC profiles.
The proper pay rates aren’t even represented on APC.

AA's next contract can equal all those work rules. Can you equal their movement and wide-bodies? And you hustle and work the system, a lot. Many/most fly their line and go home and enjoy their weekends off.
