I think emailing CL or whoever is playing DFO today is the best bet.

edit- I think EVERYONE needs to do it. The more folks who do it, the more impact it will have.

the chief pilots have already been emailed. They state it is out of their hands and tow the company line by responding “he’s not that bad” and “the article isn’t totally true”. These are direct quotes.

The reason you email HR is to start the legal paper trail. You have to be on record and emailing a CP doesn’t cut it. If you get stuck flying with this criminal you need to be on record ahead of time because given this guys experience Jetblue will side with the criminal and not you. This guy knows the ins and outs of HR. Why do you think he chose Jetblue?

Hi all,

I know this thread has recently been focusing on a particular felon flying for jetblue, but I have a question about the application process.

I reviewed and sent my app out today for a first officer position. For context, I have about 2000h TT with over 1800h of these hours being Jet time, all of it on A320. I've built my time in airlines but outside North America (I'm a US citizen). I meet all the requirements and have added my CV, a cover letter, 5 letters of recommendation and plenty of additional documents to paint an accurate picture.

When I submitted my app, I instantly received an email saying the following: "Thank you for your recent application for First Officer. After further review we have determined that your qualifications are not the correct match for our current opening."

Clearly the response was too quick for a human to have sent it so I must have been filtered by the AI for some reason, has anyone been in this situation and do you know how to fix it?

The only thing that comes to mind is in the education section: I was schooled in the french system and they do not use a GPA, so I had to write the marks in % format and leave the N/A ones blank (which the system defaults to 0.00).

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like our hiring department and application process needs a compete teardown/overhaul. What a fuqing disgrace this department has become. This place turned one of my good friends down twice…now he’s at Delta. Said no to another buddy who is at United. How many of these TBNT’s for this application process have we seen in the last 6 months alone. Meanwhile, look who we are hiring. Unreal. I just heard a story recently about a new FO that would make your head spin. We’re almost down to nothing, and applicants are going through this nonsense described above. I’d fire the whole entire hiring department and start over. Rant over.

You’re going to need to pinpoint the area where you think the issue was and then start the process over with a different email. I’m sorry our application/hiring process is such a joke. You shouldn’t have to deal with this. Maybe it’s a sign; apply to Delta.

Usually when you get the thanks but no thanks email immediately it was due to an error you made on the application. Like someone else said you'll have to figure out where you made the error and re-apply.

Default My experience as an applicant FWIW

Background- 135 DO and check airman, 2600TT, 1500 Turbine, 1500 PIC ATP
Application at JB and WN for the past year. (Hoping for WN)
This summer got JB phone recording interview followed immediately by in person. Went well I thought, though during the HR interview I pointed out that it was kinda tacky interviewing 10 applicants in the same room at the same time literally talking over each other asking the same questions lol. Not surprised I got a TBNT letter a week later. Wasn’t too upset cause it was more of a practice interview for my eventual WN interview.

A month later for the WN interview, went amazingly, job offer followed. Start training in January.

Was an interesting experience to say the least but the interview process seems to be a jumble, trying to cram too much too fast. Will be interesting to see how things at blue pan out.

So the moral of the story is , don’t overthink it. The right fit will fall in your lap. If you apply and don’t get it, something better may be on the horizon.

I understand, thanks for your answers.

I've proof read the application about 10 times before submitting so I'm honestly not sure. I just read it again a few times and the only errors I can potentially think of are:

- I have less than 12 months validity left on my US passport (but more than 6 as required on careers page), the option on the application form asks for 12 though, so I had to tick no
- My grades are not in GPA format so I had to write a percentage format as it's the only thing that would be accepted in the field
- I don't live within 90 miles of a JetBlue base, my permanent address is in Montreal, Canada
- I have no Instructor time, I went the EASA route for my flight training and have been in the airlines ever since I've had 150h of flight
- I don't have a JetBlue Pilot Recommendation as I do not know anyone who works at JetBlue

Those are the only things that come up, like I said before I meet all requirements, have no failures, have a lot of recent flying time and am A320 rated with an unrestricted ATP.

Any ideas?
