Add in a MOAB as well.

Then why hasn’t United grown in Boston? Why haven’t they grown in FLL? You guys have so many planes and growth. Maybe even get a few JFK slots from F9. So many planes and pilots it’s crazy you guys haven’t crushed AA yet

JetBlue isn’t making money period. It’s irrelevant the base. The business model is flawed, the scale, the management, whatever it is it’s not working. That’s doesn’t mean there isn’t money to be made in a certain area. If that was the case then why would there be any airline interested in JFK, BOS, FLL?

I see thanks was just curious as I didn’t think FLL and BOS were lucrative markets , jfk I can understand of course.

BOS has a high income per capita and a relatively premium market, but JB has a limited network without global reach or alliance to attract local pax. If you want to fly BOS-Florida then JB is for you. Otherwise Delta is the better choice for local Bostonians.

Yes, the airline has stated that both markets do make money. The airline isn’t losing money because of its markets, LAX not withstanding. The management of the airline and the irops are what cause the airline to lose money.
The reality with Jetblue is every time there is a weather event in NY or South Florida the airline largely shuts down because the network IS New York to Florida. That is the problem.

Don’t think that they really want a bigger presence in FLL. It’s historically been a lower yield market and they can make more money sending available planes somewhere else. As to BOS, I really don’t know what they want. JFK slots seem to be the only thing that they actually want and the agreement provides them access.

There was supposed to be a system bid in July or August for FLL 220. Is that happening or not really?

Because that was supposed to decide if they’ll hire or not this year.
