I'll clarify. Good news, relative to the standstill we've had for nearly 2 years.

And to someone else's reply yes, DL UA and AA have been hiring, but their projected 2026 numbers are much higher than their 2025 numbers.

Yes, because someone at the beginning of their professional career can confidently look forward at ANY job they take NOW, and guarantee its the best decision for them 30+ my years in the future.

If it was me, and I lived in a JB only base, and didn't want to move or commute, I'd only have my apps out with JB. The big three aren't always the best places to be for everyone, unless you need to say you work at Delta.....

Unless your are Puerto Rican, there is no JB only base. It doesn’t exist. All of our bases have other options.

They do, but BOS? Small with AA 737, small and relatively senior with DL 330, nothing UA. If you want to be based in BOS then JB provides the most opportunity.

JetBlue still has roughly $2.5B in positive net equity. To put it in perspective American has almost $-4.0B in negative equity. JetBlue’s not going to be Ch. 11 anytime soon. Do they need to become profitable to be a viable company for their shareholders…Yes. but the doom and gloom, Ch. 11 speculation is a bit much.

If JB closes BOS then it’s going to be a Ch 7 scenario. Which I don’t think is realistic 😂

This. I'm talking opportunity NOW and for the rest of my career - as much as I can predict. Delta BOS 330 isn't tenable, and flying the 737 to me for my entire career sounds like torture. To each their own. But shame on any pilot who thinks they know whats better for someone else.

I was at JetBlue and moved on. The difference in almost all aspects is better at a larger company. Smaller cog in a bigger machine with a lot more resources when things go sideways. There are always the people that are risk adverse and say “I wouldn’t want to be at the bottom of that during the next downturn” but do you want to be doing BUF and MCO turns for 30 years? There is also the brain drain in management. Anyone with actual skill at managing will be scooped up by a higher paying airline. You get potato farms and dumb policies like keeping the hud down at all times for 30 years. It’s a personal decision but to ONLY apply at b6 is crazy.
