There's next to no movement except for minimal retirements here, while DL you'd still be progressing up the ladder as people leave above you AND get hired below you. End of the day, DL is a more secure job than B6, and for some losing their B6 seniority to be junior at a theoretical DL NB BOS base would be worth the jump.
Like most, I have friends at spirit who refuse to leave because they don’t want to lose their seniority. They are willing to gamble losing their job as opposed to starting over and losing seniority. Jetblue appears to be little different.

We’re in no immediate danger of losing our jobs at JB. Not even 5 years at worse case scenario. Stagnate, yea. But not even close to Spirit; they’re day to day at this point.

That’s pretty naive for someone of your vast experience, but you do you.

In other news, at recurrent waste of time stale sandwich lunch, we were told no hiring in 2026.

Airline pilots are very interesting. I wonder if theres any other industry where someone is willing to tell you how your career choices are poor and that X company is so much better. As if moving companies is a simple lateral move without an effect on QOL.

I will certainly "do me," because JetBlue is best career choice given my location, and willingness to not move or commute.

Your Year in Review

You were thanked for your dedication to the operation ~280 times…Total value redeemed: $0

You made <5% progress on a new CBA

Some progress was later reclassified as “finding common ground”

Seniority update: unchanged to worse
Achievement unlocked: career moonwalk

You can only be thanked if you read the propaganda emails.

Negotiations are what they are. I support our MEC in not rushing a CBA.

I spent the entire summer up at my lake place while sitting short call not getting used.

I flew ~250 hours, only because I chose to fly a line 2 months out of the year and fly my asre off during that time.

Not sure if you're a JB guy, but if so, you also have options. If you aren't, go back to your own forum.

I’m not sure I understand logic here……

Pilot recruitment or lack thereof……I don’t think is/would be a reason B6 would potentially go out of business. For the record I don’t think B6 will go out of business, and I would say Pilot retention is only a very small if at all contributing factor in its current lack of growth. I think that’s very poor stubborn management, putting to many eggs in a route structure that hasn’t born as much fruit as they thought, poor network diversity for contingencies………….all three legacies ALREADY have flight attendant domeciles and Boston….

Was at recurrent a couple months back and they said possible Spring hiring (getting people in the pool on line) but for sure hiring in the fall of 26. What changed?

They told our class six months ago possibly end of 2026. They told you possibly spring 2026. Who cares until they actually execute it.
