Crazy is adding 6 hours onto your first and last duty day to commute to work or sleeping in crash pad bunk beds in your 50's like you're at summer camp. Again, you moved on, good for you. Not everyone wants what you want.

An uncomfortable commute too, having to cling on to your hat the whole ride.

Can’t disagree with any of this. Been here 7 years and think about leaving every other week. Shoulda left 2-3 years ago. Hindsight is always 20/20. I’m comfortable and drive to work, thus don’t really have the fortitude to deal with starting over. Now I feel pot committed here 😂 poor management (as you alluded to) has put this company in a tough position. Hope it works out. If I had to get on a plane to commute here, I would have been gone yesterday.

100%. I’ll just add not only has management put the entire company in a tough position, one which we may or may not recover from, management is also holding everyone’s careers hostage so they can run with their “JetForward” scam play. I also wish I left 4 years ago. I think about my horrible decision every day.

You have to think about what you do have rather than what you don’t. Anything else is futile.

What the heck is going on with instructors and CKAs on the 220 side? Those of us now waiting over a month for IOE just got an email saying they’re putting us in RQ3, which incorporates a standard recurrent right after it. So three days of training to reset the consolidation clock, then a standard recurrent. So it’s recurrent without ever having qualified or completing IOE. According to ALPA this 5 day program is the only was to completely reset consolidation. And it’s all the 2300-0300 slot. We’re being told 90 days to IOE. Travel days and accommodations in training again. How’s this cost effective? Plus the loss of pilot labor for 3 months.

It's not cost effective. On Irv's site, theres a 220 guy there that just got the call for OE after a 10 week wait. Enjoy your time off and your 80 hours. Oh, and don't forget to request your warm up sim.....

Dude, you gotta get some hobbies or something. Distract yourself from that nonsense.

I thought it went up one’s patoot? Isn’t that why they act like they do?

My understanding is the RQ3 is a warm up. Yes digging time off and 80. But if that means 2 years from now I’m downgraded to a 13 yr FO…. Not so much. Pilot’s love free money but at what cost?

I wouldn't read much into it. This is the last of the training bubble with the supplemental to balance things and park the 190. This is an expense they planned for.
