My gut is telling me this is a mistake. That's not how someone should feel before they make a life changing decision that will impact the whole family.
I'm one of the guys who is negative about management here, and yet based on your postings here and on another forum, I really think you'd feel more secure at BlueJet.

We seriously need improvements, but the atmosphere in the jets and crew rooms is much more pleasant than the venting we indulge in here on the forums. I definitely think you'd be missing an opportunity by gauging our work environment based on these posts... Just my opinion. Feel free to pm if you have more specific questions.

So I have to ask.

If the choice is simply, jetBlue or stay put, Would you recommend that someone come to work for jetBlue right now? Or stay away?
I am paraphrasing from a couple other JB pilots. Their points are solid and summ up how you are compensated at JB:

As of Today (pay)
2013 10.6% BEHIND AVERAGE
2014 18.3% BEHIND AVERAGE
2015 23.1% BEHIND AVERAGE
2016 27.9% BEHIND AVERAGE

Plus 75% behind in Vacation.
PTO Accural
Sick Bank
STD
Retirement
Profit Sharing
Work Rules
Dispute Process
M/A
Scope
Healthcare

...And many of my pilot "peers" are okay with the process that have lead us here. So yeah, this place wears you out after working here awhile. If you need a job, come on over and make the best of it. If you can wait, maybe consider doing so.

Making a career decision based on what people post on an internet message board is like making a medical diagnosis with WebMD. 9/10 times you're gonna think you've got cancer.....or lupus based on what you read.

It's not perfect, and things need to be improved, but I'm happy here and staying put. I don't fault anyone for leaving. As someone else said, we should all be able to have the job we want instead of the one we're forced to settle for.

Well, one thing is certain - I do spend too much time online. And if you think I spend too much time online here you should see how much time I spend on Web MD. Incidentally this might be moot because I think I have Ebola...

You've kept your sense of humor though, that's what's most important.

Good luck with your decision, I'll be following closely.

Zap you seem pretty level headed so if you need a job welcome aboard but if you have time to wait for a legacy it may serve you well. AE's a good dude and I don't want argue his post but those of us who have been here 10+ years aren't convinced change is coming. Management has been able to sell culture or an ideal to many newer pilot(not because they are ignorant) but because they haven't seen this management for the last+ decade.
Weight your options.

Or they're comparing it to whatever SB regional management theyve been exposed to. eg rah/ae/tsa/sw/pdt.

Thank you. I'm a grammar nazi. I know it's just a web board but it's nice to seem like we know how to spell.
