Yep, existing jetblue pilots are randomly given a Blue Dart which allows them to pick someone to be guaranteed an interview, as long as they meet the mins. It doesn't guarantee they will be hired, just helps getting them to the interview phase. Some jetblue pilots have been awarded multiple Blue Darts in the past, and some have never received one.

34 people. A few destined for full time instructor status (two at least). Nearly all former 121(Allegiant, Omni, Gojet, Republic, Skywest, Expressjet, Comair, Envoy, National Air Cargo, all represented). Couple strictly corporate. Few strictly military. One Feb interviewee, rest mostly April. 22 slots in A320. All openings in BOS or JFK.

Can you explain 2 destined for full time instructor status? Something they chose? Is that normally an option? Thx.

They were hired as intructors not as pilots. They do not have a seniority number and do not fly the line.

After one year of instructing they can apply for a line seniority number. Most everyone lately has been given a number, but occasionally they are rejected.

Thanks. You wouldn't happen to know how many interview dates they had, if any, after April 22nd, would you? Or anyone else for that matter.

I think April 22 was the last date for the spring interviews. Then the August window opened for interviews on : 9/16, 9/30, 10/16, 10/28, 11/06, 11/13.

Default Phase 2

I just entered phase 2. Happy to be here but of course it's my career and the wait makes you worry.

Failed Private oral - which I told them
-Couple speeding tickets here and there (which I told them but I didn't have dates or more info just said I think I have the normal amount maybe 4 lifetime)
-No 121 training hiccups

The email says a lot of factors ie "scores" on interview day etc

What does it take to get booted from phase 2

I'm sure it's been addressed before but any info would be great

Nothing you listed will get you booted from phase II. I had a failed commercial from years ago.. Several tickets from my younger years and some other small legal stuff ... At the end of my exit interview she said she thanked me for divulging all that I could but said that's not really what they're looking for .

If you were honest in your history than your fine , they are really looking to match what you told them is what they ll find....

Tickets and a occasional busted ride is human...

Most that get booted from phase II were hiding something of significant size ... Not a speeding ticket you forget to mention...

Very small fee get booted from phase II.

Good luck ..
