That sounds about right:
12 airframes delivered in 2015 x 14 pilots per frame = 168 net increase of pilots

About 1.5 weeks prior to training emails start coming confirming hotels, start date, time, etc.

I subscribe to Aviation Interviews but don't have the deluxe subscription so I only get limited info. This is a snippet they sent me from a recent JetBlue interview experience. Hope it's helpful to someone & apologize if it's been posted already.

"All other gouges are spot on, they really don't pull any tricks. In the last window (Summer 2014), jetBlue had 3,800 applications. They interviewed 287 and of those, 222 advanced into phase 2. It seems the difficult part is getting to the interview. It's my opinion that Internal recommendations carry a lot of weight at jetBlue. Always network, and for the frustrated 7+ year regional FOs like myself, focus on the things that you CAN cont..."

Right now I am betting on an April- June class....but the class sizes will play a huge factor.
Honestly have been checking my e-mail constantly since reading this for the new update.

Welcome to the club. I probably check my email 10 times a day, and jump every time an unexpected phone call comes in....on a different note.

Question:
you are sitting reserve Monday thru Friday. You see a 2 day trip in open time leaving on Thursday. You can pick it up right? And how soon in advance? I know it doesn't pay above guarantee.
Can you do this? How far in advance can you do it? And what happens when you land on Friday, in relation to reserve time remaining?

You can bid for the trip in flica. You may or may not get it. Seniority, legality... Yada Yadda. If you get it you'll be awarded it in the dro the day before(ie:1200 wed.) When you're done Friday You're done.

Good luck dudes

How soon out can you bid it? Is it under the open time menu? Have three reserve days next week and saw a red eye to dirty Domingo. Figured no one would want it and it's commutable. Just tried to request it and it was instantly denied as conflicting with reserve days. Rather get cholera than sit in the Crashpad!
