Looks like I'm right around a hundred - plus/minus from being a line holder. I love the two days off between reserve stints-not. Especially as a commuter. PBS honors a day or two off request but does so with min days off between stretches of RSV I guess. I use the one allowed unpaid reserve drop day to clean that up a little-face it, at first year pay what's the difference between 75 and 71 hours really.

We used to be able to go 6on/1off on reserve. That made life great for commuters who just wanted to stack all their days together, as well as increased schedule swapping ability. As it is now you're pretty much locked into your RSV schedule since it is 5on/2off all month long. There was talk of the company going back to the 6on/1off, but now they don't seem interested in making that change.

Have you tried putting "min 3 days off" as your only bid parameter?

March '14 hire. Still RSV as BOS E90 with March '15 award. About ten away from line.

Plan on about $2400/Mo take home pay once you're out of training after all deductions and taxes, as a RSV pilot.

Default RSA days

How many of you pick up RSA days? Worth it on first year pay?

Is Orlando a base for both aircraft types?

Only if it looks like the IROP will strand me in JFK- otherwise the trade off is less time at home (I place a higher value on that than first year pay).

That's about right - I contribute to the 401 just enough to maximize the company match and I use my wife's insurance.

I believe (could be wrong) RSAs go above guarantee for reserve. Picking up open time on a day off does not.
