Phase II
The “Phase II” process includes reviewing all background material (pilot records, driving/criminal records, references, input from JetBlue pilots, and other factors as considered by the Pilot Hiring Committee (PHC). Once background files are completed, the PHC convenes every 1-2 weeks to review candidate files. Once your file has been reviewed, you will be notified of your status. As mentioned to you during the interview process, the time from interview date to notification of completing Phase II is usually 6-12 weeks. Depending on your interview date, the time from interview to class date can be 1 to 6 (+) months, depending on new hire class sizes.
Once you complete Phase II you will receive an email advising that you have successfully completed Phase II. This is only a conditional offer and you are still in the pool. You are now waiting for a class date. When it is your time to go to class, you will get a phone call from our Pilot Recruitment Team.

How do they notify you if you didn't get past Phase 2? Do they notify those that didn't get it fairly quickly after the PHC meets?

My understanding is that you can bypass one class date.
AN EX-military type in my class was called on a Wednesday and offered a class on Monday if he wanted it. He was told since it was such short notice he could of course bypass this offer, AND the next one. He Was there on Monday. My feeling is if you have some sort of obligation, they will work with you at that point. YMMV.
BTW, everyone in my class got a "you've completed phase II" email. Evidently the company stepped up its communications effort last fall, including sending a contact email for status questions. I didn't feel the need to contact them. I was in the pool 7 months from interview to class date. I think it's much faster than that right now.
