During my interview back in March this year, I overheard one of the JetBlue pilots talking about the company inviting spouses down for a meet and greet before Indoc starts. Are they still doing that? I understand they used to allow spouses to sit in on the benefits info presented by the company to new hires but now it's just a little meet and greet party. Anyone have any info to share on this? Thanks!

There's beer and food, just not at Sonny's anymore. The new hires meet in a room at 5pm with various instructors and people from flight ops. There's a bucket of beer there. Then at 6pm there's a free cookout for all new hires, not just pilots.

If needed, we have an email that goes out for RSA (Reserve System Augmentation). Anyone qualified in the seat may reply to the email from any base. You're paid 4.12 hours at 1.5 your rate if not called. If called its a minimum of 5 hours or block, whichever is greater. You are responsible for getting to the airport within 2 hours of getting a call.
They typically pop up during IROPs or holidays. One just went out for E190 FO in JFK a few hours ago, actually. So any E190 FO at the company can ask for it. They just have to be in JFK for the call out period.

TDY's, in the traditional sense of the company sending you to a base other than your own to cover flying for a month (or week, whatever), does not really exist here.
