Very few of that is retirements. Most guys that are leaving fall between the 6-36 month range. From speaking with the vp of training, the most expensive hit is when someone leaves wishing 6mo. Of any training event, recurrent not withstanding.

Where do you get the 3% as an acceptable attrition number? They are planning for 4.5% and we are well below that figure.

Also, most of that attrition is happening at the bottom end of the list. If all of our attrition was A320 CAs then that would have more of an impact on training events and I would assume more total cost.

I'd be surprised if more than 2-3 went back. There can't be that many left with the option to return, maybe 20-30 total?

The 3% comes from the ELT about 2 years ago. They are not happy with 4.5% but that is the planning number. It costs more to train initials than it does recurrent captains. A loss is a loss but a loss of a captain does trigger more training events.

The window is typically open in early spring (March-April) and fall (Sept-Oct).

Anyone else not getting Flica alerts via text? Mine stopped sometime last week but I still get the emails.

Talked with Flica and T-Mobile and they both said it's each other's problem...
