I did a few years ago, but then I wasn't very competitive. I'm going to try and bid around WIA and OBAP next year and hope for the best. Just hoping the rumors that I hear that they don't like Captains because of their perceived risk of bailing is false. Would really love the opportunity.

One last question on holiday pay. Sorry to circle back, you can nominate me for TOTD.
If I am flying 2 hours on thanksgiving, do I get double pay totaling 4 hours, or double pay totaling 10 hours (min guarantee when performing duty is 5 hours)?

The rumor that B6 doesn't like Captains and some have to much time is not true. The current class is comprised of almost all Captains from regional carriers, many with 7,000+ hours. The one thing most have in common is multiple jobs fair attendances and 3-4 app windows.

4 hours. The min is an average for the trip not actually per day.

Ok, so now I'm confused. After receiving the "attendance confirmed" email on Oct 23, I received an email today that says I've been added to the "standby list" for the Vets in Blue Expo. I've never attended before, so hopefully the first email is the correct one.
Has anyone else run into this issue?

I got the same email too and replied I had received the confirmation email as well. Got an email back about an hour later to disregard then standby email and that my spot was still confirmed.

I received the "sent in error" email this morning. I was concerned for a second because I am super excited to attend this event!

FYI, I've been before and signed up for standby. Received an email yesterday saying to reply "available" in the subject line and my number in the body if I still want to go. I'm not sure about the other glitches but this is what I've seen. BTW, bring a lot of resumes. Don't want to be needing more, right?
