I am also looking at resv availability on flica and don't see my name today, tomorrow, the next day etc. Would there be a reason I am not showing up ?

 

Yea I called and told them I was off consolidation after being assigned a few CKS trips with 120 hours.

I'm on the 190 and now worried about not flying enough. There is definitely a balance. Worried that I don't fly for a month and then crap weather hits and the phone rings.

If you've been assigned a trip on the DRO then you won't show up on that flica reserve availability list.

 

Not as of 330. I'm sure they are just waiting until the 9/23 class is all set before sending one out.

 

It means you have already been assigned flying those days. FYI

We had a very successful and enjoyable time at (OBAP) Organization of Black Aeronautical Pilots. This recruiting event was a great opportunity for us to meet pilots, answer questions, and talk about JetBlue. We met so many qualified candidates that are interested in JetBlue. Some of those successful candidates will be interviewing in the near future.

I have talked with some of you about being away from your phone as you wait for the call for new hire class. It’s OK if you miss the call. I remember when I was waiting for the call. I was away from my phone for 3 minutes while I fueled my car at the gas station. Guess who called in those 3 minutes……JetBlue! I thought my JetBlue career was over before it had started. We don’t just skip over you at that point and move on to the next pilot. Please don’t worry we do follow up and give you ample time to respond. Class 14-15 started on August 23th with 19 new JetBlue pilots!

As of today September 10th, we have filled class 16-15 starting on September 23rd (it will be a small class). The next class that we have started to fill is October 7th. We are finishing up with the April 14th interview date and we will have pilots from the May19th interview date in the October 7th class date too! Please no phone calls with requests for earlier dates. We will call you when it is your turn. October 21st & November 4th are the next scheduled new hire classes. The class sizes are very fluid and, we don’t usually know what that number is until a month out, which is also subject to change. Our next interview date is scheduled for September 29th.

 

For those on the line, or about to be...
I had off every weekend in September. I am working EVERY weekend in October. I had to double check my bid to make sure I didn't accidentally hit award weekends.
I suspect it is because we started the 6 on, 2 off (unless waived). I emailed the scheduling committee to try to get some more SA. Hopefully the grid is green and I can move some weekend days. Even when I was brand new I got at least 1 or 2 of the 8 weekend days.

 

Is that on reserve?
