I didn't know that. The ALPA app Jumpseat guide which is usually pretty accurate lists several carriers than can Jumpseat internationally on AA. JB is not listed as one of them.

It's all space available in the back, but as long as there's reciprocity, you can Jumpseat internationally on any US carrier

It's a fairly recent change, just over a year now I believe.

I have jumped on AA internationally 3 time last year, no issue.

Do they still only allow the number of actual jumpseats to sit in the back no matter how many seats are open? Example 737 with 1 jumpseat on it. 30 seats open in the back but only 1 jumpseater allowed to sit back there.

They stopped that a few years ago

We are actually on their limited international list. They are trying to change that, but in the meantime... Domestic is as many seats as are open, international is 1-2 JetBlue guys and that's it.

Unfortunately, that is correct. It applies to all airlines on the International list.

I realize we're talking about "using jumpseat privileges" while on a seat in the back but I'm not sure what you mean by "any" US carrier.

I know for instance that you can't jumpseat even on a seat in the back internationally on ExpressJet (United Express) unless you're an ExpressJet pilot (unless that changed in the last 6 months), they do a lot of flights to Mexico and Canada.
