I realize we're talking about "using jumpseat privileges" while on a seat in the back but I'm not sure what you mean by "any" US carrier.
I know for instance that you can't jumpseat even on a seat in the back internationally on ExpressJet (United Express) unless you're an ExpressJet pilot (unless that changed in the last 6 months), they do a lot of flights to Mexico and Canada.

I could be mistaken, but as an eagle guy I have jumpseated intl on AA, UA, and DL. Maybe you can't with Xjet, I was just speaking from experience and from what I'd heard

Sep 23rd JB class invite
Exciting times! Got the invite for the Sep 23rd indoc class at JetBlue. As if early afternoon, he said there were two people left to call. Small class though. Only five. He said there'd be another class that's bigger in October. I interviewed back in April and went to the Vets in Blue earlier in the Spring.

Congrats!! Guess I'll wait for the Oct. class. For now, it's back to enjoying the summer. Just to clarify, is it a total of 5 in class or 5 from the 4/14 interview date?

Thanks! He said it was only five in the class and all of them were from this spring's vets in blue. Not sure when they all interviewed. I was 4/14 in the morning.

Internationally, the number of JSers can't exceed the number of cockpit jumpseats. Ridiculous policy, but it is what it is.
Sad to think that they could go out super light in the back, but a third jumpseater would have to be left behind because there are only 2 cockpit jumpseats. No sure who thought that up.

I have a feeling that at this rate, the rest of 4/14 will be spread between Oct 7 and 21 class dates. It would be great if we could all go the 7th, but I suspect that too many of us still remain.

At that rate, June interviewees will be looking at class late winter into 2016 maybe!?
