i stand by that opinion. the chef at the lodge worked really hard to provide variety and healthy options for all 3 meals, every day. and the chef personally cared that we were happy, constantly asking for input and constantly trying to improve our experience. that meant a lot to me.

as for the pizza, i felt the same way, so i asked the chef about it, and it turns out they don't cook it all the way at first, and set it out there so that when you choose it, they cook it the rest of the way so it is not overcooked but is nice and hot and fresh when you eat it. i had guys in my class that ate the pizza pretty much every day. i ate it a couple of times. not the greatest pizza in the world, but not bad. but yes, it looked bizarre. once i asked why, it made sense.

like someone else said, of course you'd get tired of eating at the same restaurant every meal, every day, for 6 weeks. but my point was that i was not looking forward to it, and ended up being very pleasantly surprised, and like i said, someone asked for a review.

i would think anyone that actually stays there has to come away feeling that they have worked hard to offer a great product. and of course other people might not be as happy as i was about it. everyone has his own opinion.

i am not sure why people are arguing about it, or bringing up 4 month old posts? oh wait...let me welcome myself to the internet
Why? I will answer you with a PM. So we don't waste people time

Now make it clear to everyone new hire or not, we were all very lucky to get a job at B6 and even if the food was totally terrible, which is not, we would still be privileged.

But new hire pilots are not normal new hires, they have to stay for 6-8 weeks. Not a week like the others. So not everyone is "equal"
I think pilots (and everyone else staying more then two weeks) should still be given the hotels with with kitchen and walking distance to many restaurants

The lodge is fine for recurrent. 3 days is about all I can take of that place. Anything over a week should be off campus, mearley to get a break from Jetblue. You can never totally relax there. For me I need a place to cook. There is no way I can eat cafeteria food for 6 weeks and maintain a Healthy life.

Job fairs. Anywhere you can meet a JB recruiter face to face. WIA and OBAP job fairs are the two big ones that JB always attends.

Just a word of advice for Vets In Blue...bring lots of copies of your resume. I quickly ran out when I went last November. After all the presentations, questions, etc. the pilots and HR folks all break up and take resumes and talk to the participants. It ends up as each JB person has a cluster of vets around them and you go from one to another talking, getting your resume looked at/evaluated, and they keep them.
If I had to guesstimate how many would be good I'd say 8 or more.

What are my odds with 2600 TT, 460 PIC & a Vets in Blue invite?
