But you seriously think food at The Lodge is better than you can find around the hotels? Longhorn, Bonefish, Tony Roma, or even Chipolte and Panera? Not that those are the best dine experience ever.
Or the Thai, sushi, and the Mediterranean place?
Compare breakfast there with Cracker Barrel?
Like I said, the food could be acceptable, but to brag about it and miss it once you are home like him? No way in a million years

Just ate there this weekend both the captain and I like the food, and yes it beats almost any chain restaurant.
But we all have opinions.

I agree with BlueBlood. I had heard all the rave reviews of the food before I went there. It didn't live up to the hype. The food is good I'm not knocking it. Some of their special dishes are excellent. It's just not this amazing menu many have described. I mean just take a look at the pizza. I ate there probably 10 times during transition and not once did I even try it because it looked like it had been sitting there for a week. I'll take the variety of food down by the old hotel any day. Down for just recurrent then the lodge food is perfect. New hire training in the lodge for 6 weeks? Not enough variety. But anyone would get sick of any restaurant after having to eat at it every day for that long. I will also say I loved the breakfast. I could eat that everyday for a year.

True (I prefer Panera) but it is better than breakfast at The Lodge.
Again, I can eat at The Lodge, but to describe it incredible? Nope.
In any case nothing beats having a kitchen in your room, plus a dozen of different restaurants walking distance
Glad my initial was not there
