I didn't have to do any of that. Put her name as my flight companion and good to go.

He was talking domestic partner over travel companion. Some airlines you can buy ZED's for DP's but I don't think you can for travel companions.

Gulfstreams and E135 aren't "heavy stuff" any more.
Congrats for the interview and good luck.

They are in business aviation; it's a different industry. All are much more capable than narrow body airliners in terms of mission. In other words, it's not the size it's how you use it! ;-)

I'll continue to represent our culture by buying coffee or anything else anyone wants as was turn.

Cheers
When I non rev, the amount of seats I set up, it's directly proportional to the friendliness of the FAs before and during the flight.
When I DH I do my row. When I work, most times, I don't even have time to go back to do that, but when I do, I use it to buy coffee for the inflight crew. Funny I used to do it even before the union email.

That's why I said "anymore". I come from 135/91 too.
Size matter.

Thank you sir! The people really made the interview a non-event. Very cool atmosphere radiant from everyone, from the pleasant gal that checked me in to the groups of pilots and HR that conducted the "TMAAT"s.

I must admit I'm excited for the change in career, after about a decade of corporate. I love(d) the 91/135 life, but I'm actually looking forward to the right seat of something bigger.

Truth, and a good "that's what she said" setup to boot!

The QOL it's better than I expected. And I had high expectations.
I do live in base and seat reserve home. By QOL of life I mean my personal life and time, not even close. But I am used to be on call.
Some people prefer to have a line and make some more money, either way you will have much more control of your life and have more flexibility than in any 91/135.
The job is so much easier too, no extra duties beside flying.
Last note, we do need improvements, but things are supposed to get better with the first CBA.

The group of pilots that has the largest number of d-bags per capita is your benchmark. You guys do what you want, I thought JetBlue was different. You guys sound like the guys flying at my regional who curse out the ground guy for making a mistake. Where is humanity in any of this, or does ALPA need instruct us on being human and then it will be the professional thing to do.
