Bottom line is it's not even the FAs "job" but somehow it morphed into being that way under the guise of teamwork. AKA cheap won't hire cleaners to go through the plane.
They have cleaners in the hubs. But for some reason they don't cross belts or clean the seat backs. Not sure why.

Nobody is saying they're above anyone. We're saying it's not our job. I'll help sometimes when everyone is off the plane. I don't have a problem with that. I have a big problem with FA's or pilots standing in people's way as they're trying to deplane. It's so rude and the pax hate it. I've seen it a number of times where the passenger says something. Also it has been stated in surveys of our customers that they don't want to see pilots cleaning. They want pilots concentrating on their job.

I'm a decent human being, but I won't help clean. It's not my job. Just like I won't scan tickets at the gate, throw bags into the cargo compartments, help dump the lavs, change a landing light, or disconnect ground power.
If collectively we clean the cabins enough, next thing you know it WILL be part of our job description.

Great feedback, thanks for everyone's response. The people we pay to represent our professionalism condem this act and I trust their opinion in the matter. I too agree it gives Jetblue a bad image having pilots with blue gloves charging down the isle to get to that next row as people deplane. I'll continue to represent our culture by buying coffee or anything else anyone wants as was turn.

Cheers

For me:

5k+ total, 3.5k+ PIC TURB, all part 91/135 background, 4 types (mostly heavy stuff, Gulfstreams, Legacy/E135).

Hired and starting training in March, hope that helps!

Few quick questions:
What is the employee travel like? Expensive? I assume agreements with most major carriers? Buddy passes? Also is someone willing to share their schedule on both fleets in BOS and JFK? If you don't feel comfortable, please PM me, I'm trying to get an idea what the schedules look like.
Thanks everyone for the help.

Travel on JetBlue is free in coach, you have to pay taxes for international. 75/leg for Mint, Buddy pass riders are not eligible to fly in Mint. Zed fare agreements with just about everyone.

We get four one-way buddy pass segments every quarter (2 round-trip equivalent), they expire after a year. I use mine occasionally for elderly friends with flexibility to travel New England to Florida, it seems to cost them about 60 dollars per person per leg for that distance. (The charges are distance-based). So useful with a bit of flexibility or last-minute, but you can do almost as well with cheap confirmed tickets if you plan ahead...

Don't have the time to type out schedule stuff right now. Hope this little bit helps, welcome to JetBlue.

Thanks everyone for the help.
If you are on the Airbus you will be UNABLE to avoid redeyes (until VERY senior).
If you are on the E190 you will average 3 legs a day (until you get senior). Some days you might get 2 legs, some 4 leg days.....average 3. Don't let AB guys scare you into thinking the 190 is 4 legs every day.
190 does not go west of Austin. AB goes everywhere - except FLL do the Deep South America stuff.

Thanks so much, one last question, does jetblue offer domestic partners benefits? Say long time girlfriends who live with you?

Yep. You do need to provide proof of the situation (a few joint bills, bank accounts etc) and sign a few extra forms.. Most international airlines honor this arrangement with Zed fares as well
