It's very important that you go there knowing things about the airline. You can get selected for an interview on the spot. It's more than just a meet and greet.
Good luck!

Same humanity that refuses to help a pax with a bag because it is their fault for not being strong enough, that isn't your job. It isn't your job to help someone in a wheelchair, or a mother who has more bags, for her very young kids, than she can handle, or be friendly to a scared pax, and any other thing that separate us from the animal kingdom. Yes it has everything to do with humanity. If they wrote it in your FOM, or if ALPA told you to, would it make sense? Can you think for yourself?
You're argueing apples and oranges, two totally different situations. Your examples above have nothing to do with picking trash. No one ever said not to help nana with her bag or not speak to the person with flight phobia and make them feel better...

That's how I am approaching it this time. Finishing "Blue Streak" and reading up on current events on their website. Talked to JetBlue a couple years ago at the same conference and I didn't do a whole lot of research leading up to it.

Good luck! I was asked what I knew about JetBlue during my interview. I was well prepared and the interviewees noticed and cut me off, saying "You certainly know about us". The more you know...

Hot topics to discuss are the Mint product, the Lodge, S. American expansion, and Cuba. Obviously Core Values, and be prepared to tell them which is your favorite. Best of luck! I am in training now, and so far I am feeling really good about my decision.

Today I welcomed three children into my cockpit to take pictures and get wings, helped an elderly customer down the stairs with his bag, bought coffee and candy for the inflights during boarding, and did not go dumpster-dive nor have I in years. They are separate issues, and if you do it as my first officer when we operated the jet I will courteously ask you to desist. Good luck if you call me out on my "humanity" on that.
