System bid question - and perhaps update for those seeking FLL:
Awards just came out. I bid FLL and was not awarded it (only 8 slots and they did not go entirely senior). As this was labelled a March bid with a June transfer (correct?), Can I assume the one that comes out in June, would be to transfer by September? (thus forgoing another winter in JFK). I was a Nov 2014 class so that would make the transfer time nearly a year to hold FLL.

That one will have a transfer date no later than Aug 31

$3 for a beer. Our whole class went over for a drink during the "soft" opening after we got out one day. While it's certainly not the place to black out and start dancing topless on the bar, there is nothing wrong with having a couple and shooting pool to unwind.
It is a very nice facility...for 2 or 3 nights... for 6.5 weeks, I am EXTREMELY happy I am at a residence inn. I can control what and how much I spend to eat, as I sit here munching on a monster 3 egg omelet I just made in my kitchenette for probably $3 or $4, and that is a huge deal for me.
Not to mention, you can probably claim $70 bucks a day on your taxes for not getting per diem while in training. Not so for the Lodgers and their meal plan.
