Flica. open time. submit/view request. add. VDA date ect...
I like the other guys idea... join a pyramid scheme, day trade, learn how to knit, taste wine, get a degree that'll work after flight, get a road wife... anything. if you have to be on RSV, don't volunteer for more. When I was in BOS in 08' wasting away... 11 months and I won HALO on legendary... time well spent. yup.

I'm lazy...
Plus, every RSA and VDA on the list is another RSV that isn't on the list which is back fill behind you that needs to be there to support the operation. VDA is lost seniority.
I understand 1st yr pay and the fact that it's easier to justify in my position. I just think that if we all held tough for a year no VDA no RSA, it'd force a restructure of the staffing model. the contract will do that anyways, but self support, supports the NC.

14 months here. First six months hardly flew at all. I'm a commuter so I bid PM RSV starts in hopes that I would also be able to bug out at 5pm on last day (ask me how that worked out!). It was suggested I bid AM which meant coming in night before but that didn't help.
In six months I got a line and picked up/traded for better block to garner 100-106 hrs credit to refill the war chest. I did 8.5 hrs holiday pay on Thanksgiving and 9.5 on New Years (double dip west coast red eye on NYE). This month I scaled back: 18 days off with 80 hrs credit (including two Saturday's and a full weekend off). The PBS adage that it benefits the upper and lower 20% seems to be true in my case! I'm the lower.

Keep in mind you only get 2000 a month till done with sim check, so that's your first 1.5 months on property.
Then you'll be on reserve till about 6-8 months. You will 95% not break guarantee, unless you live in a domicile, and pick up RSA.
After the 6-8 months of reserve, you will probably get a hybrid/moveup line for 1-2 months, then be able to hold a standard line. Once you're hybrid, moveup, or standard line holder you can absolutely credit 100 hours a month....if you want to work that hard

As of when I was there last Spring, it was $2000/month. No per diem was paid, however you get a daily "use or lose" amount at the resturant in the lodge. Not ideal, since the company profits off of your per diem. You won't go hungry though.
