Hey Guys,
I can't seem to find any current data on retirements at Jetblue.
Is there a list somewhere you can guide me to. Also, what is the best guess of how long a new hire today will be able to upgrade?
Thanks for any and all information.

There will be attrition from the 3-4 year seniority range to the legacies over the next few years... just not sure on how many. But a great deal of them in that seniority range seem to be very interested in DAL or UAL.

Very few retirements at JetBlue. I don't have the info in front of me, but it is less than 100 over the next 5 years. Your movement will be driven by growth, as retirements are a non issue here.
I'm not going to even guess how long the upgrade is going to be. If upgrade times were at all accurate, I would have been a captain at Comair about 5 years ago. Come here because of the culture, or living in base, but don't expect to see an upgrade in under 6-8 years. If it happens, great, but certainly don't come here counting on a quick upgrade.

I see on the APC airline profiles the junior captain was hired on 10/2012. Every airline has its window of opportunity(s) in its history. Has that type of window closed at JB? For decades Southwest Airlines was based on growth alone but obviously their window closed. Does the real potential growth at JB feasibly give an upgrade in 8 years? I find this to be more than acceptable for an airline like Jetblue. Or am I missing something here.
Thanks again guys!!

Our current delivery schedule through 2022 gives us 90ish more AB. That makes 1500+ more pilots. We will hire more than that due to bottom churn and hopefully a contract that requires more bodies. unless there's another order for planes that's when the music stops. I don't think we even hit 100 ret. a year until 2030? Huge group of 30-50 somethings. We've got CAs under 35. 3200~~ guys on right now. IMO if you're hired today, there's a chance you get to the left seat in 5 years @ 60-65%. Anyone hired after this year, there's no telling how long to see the left seat.
Like the seeking blue said, come here because you wanna come here bases or whatever. Don't come here thinking your'e gonna hit 4 stripes fast.
to the question above, I think the window is closing quickly, and you certainly missed the wave.

I suspect I may be one of the few remaining 15 Dec interviewees that hasn't started. I'm retiring from the Air Force in late May and hopefully, I can get in class ASAP. Does anyone have a good idea of class dates? Many thanks!
