The experience can be an issue; another can be that this guys could initially accept lower QOL or pay conditions, and because of that look at B6 as a stepping stone instead of trying to make this a final destination. That would effect our pay and QOL.

My point was we should not give up anything from what we have now, and only push to get better, of course with certain priorities.

I wonder if the program participants, assuming they are new to aviation have thought of, or are aware of the potential alienation. Hopefully the word will get out and they'll rethink their choice before it's too late.
$125k cost per candidate should be enough for them to rethink their choice. I actually got asked today if it would be worth me paying $125k to get on with JB. My response was no way. There are plenty of other programs to get the hours and experience needed and EVERYONE is hiring.

The union shouldn't expend political capital on fighting this program. Very few will be want to join through it and even less will be able to afford it.

The union needs to focus on fighting for increased pay and QOL. People using JB as a stepping stone will only help in that battle as the company has to absorb additional training costs and encounters staffing issues.

Once an application is submitted can letters or recommendation be added at a later date?

But first....

Receive assessment invitation and prepay $200 fee (covers assessment administration and processing fees).

So you have to pay $200 to take the test to even see if you are even worthy of shelling out $125k.

How funny would it be if one or all of the G7 pilots go to another airline shortly after initial training at JB?

Guarantee some sort of contract will be involved in this to shoot that down. They have a fit now when someone bails after a year, nevermind one of their 90 day wonders

I'll go out on a limb and say probably because they know that there are hundreds if not thousands of dues paying ALPA members who are already typed in the 170/190 with thousands of hours in type looking to move on from a "regional" and would be much more qualified. Just a guess though.
