Ben

Wouldn't the put the return planes in the 10k? (Real question)
I bet we are short.

Short frames... Short pilots... Hiring backlog, attrition at an all time high. The dr is crumbling... Rome is burning. Iropapalooza...

Some one in management has lost control.

Nope- a line is superior for the $. But I live in base so I dont care about commutability. As B said it depends on the person. Id always take a bad line over senior reserve.

No. Lease backs are on a schedule but often as the lease term approaches leasing companies will offer favorable terms for a new lease if market conditions don't warrant the return of the airframe.
Years a go we returned quite a few airframes when the lease terms were unfavorable and the purchase agreements made better financial sense long term.
This is how it was explained to me by the CFO.

Senior RSV in base isn't a bad gig... Just sayin. But to each his own. Personally my goal is to get as close to 90 days as possible before touching an aircraft.

"Word is that there will be a Vets in Blue session in conjunction with Women in Aviation. Hasn't been announced yet, but the rumor is March 8th at JetBlue University at MCO. I'm guessing news will be sent out soon, if this is true. Last time it filled up in less than a week. So get ready."

Any additional information on this?
