No, They want you to wow them with your outstanding customer service attitude... If you can fly a plane that's cool too.

JetBlue has the Delta rates wrong...maybe some of the others. JetBlue includes several pages comparing the rate of pilot compensation change. Are we supposed to be impressed that JetBlue was SO far behind everyone else for so long and they are finally catching up (but still trailing in almost every category)? I guess they were at least smart enough not to include Medical benefits analysis....or retirement benefits...or legal.
Be smart folks. JetBlue isn't a bad place, but it's way behind where it should be and management is to blame 100%. A union is a step in the right direction, but it's going to take a lot of hard work from everyone. New guys...PLEASE do not come in to JetBlue saying that it's better than your regional! This is not a regional and should not be compared to one. Expect great things and great things will happen. Onward...
Agreed. It's pretty sad that JetBlue has gone as far as providing incorrect (read lying) data to further their cause. Now they are even flying recent hires with their spouses in for dinners with management. If everything is so great, why would a company have to do such a thing?

Jetblue is not concerned with truth. Jetblue is concerned with winning the election at all cost.

That's classic right there. Cleaning and customer skills over flying ability as evidenced in OSC as of late.

I didn't confirm it. I heard that we had instructors failing out of training now... W T F?

Trying to get an answer from someone in the know... Sounds like the school house is in a world of hurt.

I do know for a fact they called in a handful of the mco E190 capts. To come back and teach. Many 90+hr lines for April. They're super happy about it! Boat loads of premium pay for all.... Cough... Oops wait...

Default jetBlue Hiring

An instructor was let go recently during his initial training. There's no difference in a new hire instructor and a new hire pilot at that stage.

What is the atmosphere in training like? Some carriers release you if you need even two extra sim sessions. Some will keep at it as long as you are making progress and have a good attitude.

Good attitude goes a long way. Everyone has a bad day now and then as well. I'm pretty sure it's a case by case basis.

Jetblue training is anything but hostile. I have to say it's the most laid back you'll have ever seen. They hand you the lights and switches guide say learn it. There are no tricks, no gotchas. They say learn this then they check you on it.

Read and regurgitate in accordance with system logic.

It's hard to say. Most people who are let go have had several extra events.

I second CoolHand above. Very laid back. You must work hard and be prepared, as it won't be spoon fed. But everyone here wants you to succeed.
