Dude, it's negotiation fodder. We're in negotiations, they trot this out and say what will you give up to kill this? Plain and simple.
I'm actually torn between that and it's just JB reinventing the wheel when they don't need to. They always try to be different. Wish they would learn to look around for best practices before just assuming the way it's done other places must need fixing.

They really think they're better than every other airline out there.....regardless of the fact that some of them have been in operations since about 1 month after the Wright brothers first flew.....
How's that new flight release treating everyone.....SMMFH....

Got an Interview (12/15/2015) set up from attending the Vets in Blue a few weeks ago. Got the "packet" emailed to me and noticed on the first page that there will be "Psychomotor testing and an aptitude-based assessment." Ive checked all the jetBlue gouge and no one from past interviews mentions this. Is this new?? If not what is this all about? Any gouge would be appreciated!! just want to prepare as best I can.

So, now JB is giving the assessment to new-hires, and apparently now interviewees. You have no choice if you want to work here.
Not surprising this is brought to you by a United quota-hire. Who needs to hire experienced pilots??? Not JB.
Sometimes I think JB management does these outrageous things just to have negotiation collateral.

Sounds like it's similar to the Air Force AFOQT/TBAS for AF pilot candidates if it's an aptitude and psychomotor skills test. Perhaps they think if it works for the premier ab initio pilot training institution in the world, it will work for JetBlue. Apples and oranges in the training programs, though.
