Edpilot,
FLL is at least a year on property. As far as the drops upcoming....I don't rightly know. Some of the more senior folks on hear could speculate better.
But FLL, from my junior side, hasn't really grown as much as I thought it would.

But a reduction in growth is still growth. We are still growing more than 8% this year. We got the Cuba slots we wanted. FLL is getting bigger. Now the ATL thing. You're right lots of rumor, but I don't see us going into turtle mode and pulling back at all. Maybe route restructuring here or there but nothing drastic like 2008.
Bottom line is we are growing.

I refuse to get excited again about all these rumors of increased growth. They always fizzle-out and disappoint. Hope I'm wrong but sick of the disappointment.
Not your fault of course.

We are growing, so is everyone else. We are growing, but slower than planned during a time of RECORD corporate earnings and low fuel. 2 years ago we deferred 18 airbuses for 16-17-18. And just recently told Wall Street we were slowing our growth rate through the end of 16.

AA is shrinking over a he next 3 years before it gets back to where is is or was around 2022. Not sure about UA or DAL.
Not really excited, but not disappointed either. I'm sticking to it, it's gonna be interesting soon.

I would take retirements over growth any day. The only way to guarantee movement on the seniority list is through attrition/retirements. JetBlue can stop taking planes at anytime...then the music stops.
