Just was at a recruitment event for JB , they specifically told people that they are changing the time frame from one gets called to a class date .

I think they realized the long drawn out process wasn't working for them . They were loosing good people who had been waiting for months , who actually wanted to come here but got called from XYZ first .

And I suspect it will only get worse and hiring picks up over the next 10 years.

Good luck to those interviewing and waiting for a process I know it's tough .

Any insight on phase II?? I have heard that if you get into phase II and they don't catch you lying about something or a checkride failure that you "forgot" then it is pretty much a done deal. A buddy said he had one of the CPs tell him if you make it to phase II then you are 95% in.

Just trying to see what the averages are on the final part. Anyone get the TBNT after phase II with no skeleton in the closet?

Skeletons in the closet is a big part of Phase II. The part most people forget about is that we post names in the crew room, and if someone (either 1 or 2 people depending on who you ask) can kick you out.

They have apparently already started on that. I took me a long 6 months from call to class and folks in my class reported 6 weeks. C'est la vie. I too hope our prospective folks have a much improved experience.

I'm sure it's very low, but it's one of the last layer of defense to weed out the sour apples. Nobody wants a stomach ache in the flight deck. I would say most people who are checking the list have a name or two in mind. I know that's why I check it.

The only story I've heard about seeing names on the list turned out to be a captain at a regional that was on everybody's no-fly list. The way I heard it, one JB FO visited a chief and was told that the info would be passed on, but it was unlikely that just one opinion would sink the candidate. (As it should be IMO)After hearing this, he recruited several others to speak up that had flown with him. They supposedly pulled him out of INDOC.

Moral..... Be nice to your FO's

What happens if they call and you don't pick up? Is the call coming from a number similar to this? 716-210.....I will be devastated if I find out I missed the call, I've been glued to my phone for this purpose.
