The XLR is facing range anxiety issues, now topping out around 4000nm. Airbus is supposedly offering customers deals on the 330neo to compensate.
The range is seen as especially important for airlines like New York-based JetBlue (JBLU.O), which is expected to be among the first users and which aims to use the planes to open routes in Latin America or fly deeper into Europe. JetBlue did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

maybe they are trying the cart before the horse method, or the left hand isn’t talking to the right ear hole or whatever. Just seems odd to take the time to make it for fun

It’s been my experience that a lot of information in the ABG is, if not incorrect, 3-6 months outdated. I know we all wanna believe it’s true, but if you really think it’s coming…..expect to see a woman with a clipboard waiting for you on the jet bridge at the end of your next trip.
