It truly is exhausting for the entire work group.

Completely understandable. Think most of the pilot group would agree with your statement.

Honestly I would not be shocked. In the last management talk in Orlando I was at in June. We asked about the options on the 220 and winters said something like we don’t need them we don’t even know where to fly the current fleet.

Maybe and hopefully that has all changed.

To address that we must first look at who is in charge and how long they’ve been in the Bluthosphere. Then we can look at what they’ve said over the last year. Finally we’ll look at the very definition of change
/CHānj/
verb
  1. 1.
make (someone or something) different; alter or modify.
"both parties voted against proposals to change the law"
  2. 2.
replace (something) with something else, especially something of the same kind that is newer or better; substitute one thing for (another).
"she decided to change her name"

noun
  1. 1.
the act or instance of making or becoming different.
Now we can conclude that change here is unlikely. The only constant really is their resistance to change what they’re doing until it’s time to play catch up to the rest.

The whole company workforce is burnt out and had enough of this management to the point nobody cares anymore. Our inboxes are blowing up with emails begging to take their frigging survey and they extended it another week….can’t imagine why that’s happening.

JetBlue Dictionary -

Change (verb) : to mess with something that is already working and then act surprised when it stops working.
Example: “We thought the vacation software needed a slight tweak, but when we failed to test it before running the annual vacation bid we learned from the union that the program is jacked up. Hard stop, do over. Rebuild the entire vacation bidding timeline… And now the employees confidence in the management team erodes even further.
Actual savings - a couple bucks.
Actual cost to the airline: priceless.

Where did you hear this rumor?
Slight correction. Only 4 of the 10 were to be parked in Sept 2025 and the other 6 continue on until retrofit early next year. Now they are bringing back those 4 now but the 4 won't be retrofitted(flown as classic) until late 2026.

Interesting bit, the 10 classics have to be retrofitted to 162 seater first before changing to domestic first class due to no program for bringing them directly from classic to domestic first. (Yeah, head scratcher).

Quick nugget: I saw it in the comment section of Today's pock sesh. Apparently, the time to decide on the 20 options (of the A220) will be sometime in Q1 2026. Some network news for summer 2026 will be coming out soon and one or 2 new destination for TATL for summer 2026. Also, a lot of focus on FLL. If I'm guessing, they probably worked out where those A220s will be flying to from FLL. BOS/JFK can only hold so much planes, and 220s are still coming.

Thanks for the added context on the returning 320’s. It’s an important part of the information that I left out.

If they don’t know where to deploy our fleet maybe we need some new freaking route planners-and don’t promote from within for those positions, hire some actual talent that knows wtf they’re doing!

Jetblue can’t see its way out of the state of Florida so it’s time to start looking at grass strips. For an innovative airline this is a clear, innovative step.
