4) 14:00 - 20:31 = 6:31 rest 22
5) 11:00 - 16:21 = 5:21
total block 23:35. Total TAFB 92.

Do this 3 times a month for 83 hours of credit and 275 TAFB. One red-eye, all other flying one leg, middle of the day for your time zone, every layover over 20 hours, 15 or 16 days off, commutable both ends. I would sign up for that, definitely an easier schedule than what I had at NK and now at UA. I have done ANC to IAD 7:30 block redeye, 10 hours rest, back to DEN.
This is a tough one. I think you would be fatigued on one of these legs.

24 hours is not enough time to swap a 12 circadian rhythm. It's doable with relief, but 2 days of flying after are asking for trouble.

You don't even try to adjust to the local time, you close the curtains and try to sleep. This is what I did 4 times a month, technically not too many time zones, but always trying to sleep in my daytime....
NK out of LAS. All I did as a junior captain for the first year was 4 day trips, day 1 commute to work, red-eye to FLL, day sleep, red-eye night turn to central America, day sleep, red-eye turn to central America, day sleep, late flight to LAS, red-eye commute home, take care of the kids for 3 days while my partner is on a 3 day, and do it again. Not complaining. Just think that is harder than most cargo long trip schedules.

That sounds awful. Just because that’s “all you did”, doesn’t mean it was safe.

Then don't swap. Stay on the East Coast for your sleep schedule. The Redeye followed by 24+ hours is easy to get the rest and stay on schedule.

I am pretty lucky that I sleep decent in the day time. I did long distance commute, did night shifts before I started flying too, and it did seem that most seemed to have a harder time. Having said that, obviously the reason the junior guy was doing those is because nobody wanted anything to do with that. Was just making the point that is that you really don't need to cross a lot of time zones to have a crap schedule, and that even if you cross 9 time zones in 5 days, the actual schedule isn't necessarily that bad....

Anyone hearing anything about deferring 220 orders?

While no bad news would truly surprise me at this point this would be contrary to everything we’ve been told is the plan for the next few years.

would be a hell of a heel turn when taking these airframes has been the only bit of positivity touted by management to the masses. Not only that, but we were just told we’re bringing all ten of our oldest 320’s out of storage and will be the first frames fitted with our two class configuration.

Where did you hear this rumor?

You referring to the post that was circulating from aerocrew talking about planes being parked etc for engine issues?

No, it was something I overheard. Must have misunderstood. But at this point I am so burnt out on bad news I don't even question it anymore.
