Yes please tell us. The Farnborough Air Show is over kiddies and your fantasies of the LR and additional airplanes have been destroyed. There will be no SJC focus city, there simply are not enough airplanes. We don't even have enough to fly our schedule. New flying will require canibilization of our current route structure. This is what Jetblue always does. Anyone remember spooling up the Caribbean flying while pulling down transcons? DCA growth came at the expense of IAD, AUS, and a few other cities. Time to get back to reality....

So does this mean the 4-a-day Boston-Roanoke flights are still a go? If it was up to me I would do it with all 321 mint service. Huge market down there.

So how close to the ROA airport do you live?

We have 25 A320neos scheduled for 2020-2022 and IF we get A321LRs it will be these 25 airframes converted into LRs. I highly doubt it will be additional airframes on our order book.

Farnborough was a bust. 2Q earnings call is July 26th

The rumor is used airplanes. I wasn't expecting anything from farnborough.

But really not holding my breath for anything. There were all sorts of additional aircraft rumors when we got the Dca slots too.

I have to counter and disagree. Any long range aircraft would have to be supported by a larger fleet. It would seem typical for JB to do an easy trade and convert. But I think they even know we need to grow. By 2023 I wouldn't be surprised if we had 330+ aircraft (not to be confused with A330's).

Sincerely,
A hopeful junior pilot.

All of this is certainly what we need and perhaps even what Hayes may want, but making it happen and wanting it to happen are likely worlds apart.

It could also just be a negotiating tactic to keep us pilots filled with hope over massive, unexpected growth and an actual industry standard contract at some point in the to be determined future.

In the Q1 pocket session and the Q4 of 2015 this was all mentioned, thats why I asked when did he say this. Hayes also said the LR would be "additional" to the fleet. Now with Norwegian and TAP throwing in the LR for Transatlantic, I am sure Hayes and co are starting to realize they need to jump in with an order and not fall too far behind, that is good reason to convince board members.
